Pre-Surgical Rehabilitation ("Prehab")

Starting physio before your operation is one part of preparing well. A prehab program aims to help you:

• Feel more prepared for surgery and hospital admission
• Go in with better strength and mobility
• Manage post-surgical pain and swelling
• Work toward a fuller return to function over time

We build you a structured exercise program targeted at the specific procedure you're having: hip and knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, spinal surgery, shoulder surgery, and cosmetic surgery such as liposuction, abdominoplasty and BBL. The goal is to arrive at the operating table as strong and mobile as possible. Recovering from cosmetic surgery? Our lymphatic drainage massage works alongside your physio plan to manage post-operative swelling.

Post-surgical Rehabilitation

After surgery, recovery moves through stages that each need the right type of input. Push too hard too early, or progress too slowly, and you extend your recovery unnecessarily.

We work alongside your surgeon and GP to deliver a physio-guided program that restores function step by step, and that:

• Manages post-operative pain and swelling
• Restores range of motion progressively
• Rebuilds strength through evidence-based loading protocols
• Gets you back to work, sport, and daily life safely and on time

Joint mobilisations and soft tissue techniques support tissue healing. Exercise prescription progresses your function week by week. You always know where you are in your recovery and what comes next.

Do I Need a Referral?

No. You can book directly. If your surgeon has provided a referral or post-operative protocol, bring it along. We coordinate with them directly where needed.
